Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026The short version: TabTint is free. It's provided as-is. If it works for you, great. If it doesn't, you uninstall it and we all move on.
Acceptance
By installing or using the TabTint Chrome extension (the "Extension"), or by visiting tabtint.com (the "Site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install the Extension or use the Site.
License
TabTint is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may install it, use it, and uninstall it on any device you control. You may not resell, repackage, or distribute a modified version under the TabTint name without permission.
No warranty
The Extension and the Site are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The author does not guarantee that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every website, or continue to function if Chrome's extension APIs change.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the author or contributors of TabTint be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Extension or the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the security of your own Chrome profile and the websites you visit.
- You are responsible for reviewing the permissions the Extension requests — see the Privacy Policy for the full list and justification.
- If the Extension conflicts with a critical workflow, stop using it and uninstall it.
Third-party sites
Links from the Site or the Extension popup to external destinations (like the Chrome Web Store) lead to properties we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current revision. Continued use of the Extension or Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the author resides, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
